currently works as an independent artist development consultant and is developing an academic symposium at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts with Professor Angela Vettese (Iuav University of Venice) and Fania Cavaliere, within the programme celebrating the institution’s 250th anniversary.

 

For over five years, Giulia worked at Freelands Foundation, most recently as Programme Curator, where she devised and delivered programmes around art education and artist development. She led the Freelands Painting Prize across five iterations, involving more than 70 UK universities and art schools.

Previous roles include Richard Saltoun Gallery, Michael Werner Gallery and David Roberts Art Foundation. Her independent projects include an exhibition developed with Harvard Graduate School of Design in the Olivetti complex in Ivrea and at Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop in London. She delivered talks at Forma and UCL East and has been invited by Gasworks to conduct studio visits with artists in residence.

Giulia holds an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London.
